Absolutely brilliant experience with Discovery Divers! I completed my Advanced Open Water certification with them and it was the highlight of my trip to Koh Samui. The whole crew was lovely, friendly, professional and genuinely fun to be around. A huge shout out to Phillip, my instructor, who was patient, knowledgeable and made every dive feel safe and relaxed. Absolut empfehlenswert. Mein Freund und ich waren das erste Mal tauchen. Alles wurde hervorragend erklärt. Wir hatten Alex - unseren deutschsprachigen Tauchlehrer. Er hat uns alles ganz in Ruhe und hilfsbereit gezeigt und erklärt. Zum Wunder des Tages durften wir einen walhai beobachten. Die ganze Truppe war extrem freundlich und lustig. Das Essen war lecker. I recently completed my Open Water certification with Discovery Divers and had an awesome experience from start to finish.

A huge thank you to Jo, my instructor. He was super knowledgeable, patient and just great to learn with. Every session felt safe but also really fun, and he made the whole experience easy to enjoy from the beginning.

The equipment was well maintained, the speedboats were great, and the whole crew was consistently friendly and engaging throughout. Mann was also a lot of fun on the boat and added to the whole experience. A quick mention as well to Richie, who was super helpful arranging the course and great at answering all my questions before we got started.

Absolutely fantastic experience with Discovery Divers from start to finish!

Everything has been smooth and professionally organized, and the diving itself has been incredible — tons of marine life and some seriously amazing dives. Sail Rock was definitely my favorite, with great visibility and an incredible amount of fish.

I originally booked two dives, but had such a great experience that I decided to continue with my Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

A special shoutout to Joe, who has been an absolutely fantastic instructor throughout the whole experience. Professional, patient, relaxed and, most importantly, someone who makes you feel completely safe and comfortable in the water.

The whole setup at Discovery Divers has been excellent. If you’re on Koh Samui and thinking about trying scuba diving, doing some fun dives, or getting certified, I highly recommend stopping by Discovery Divers and joining them out on the water.

Had an amazing Discovery Diving experience with Pierro and Ben! They were incredibly friendly, patient, and professional, and made us feel comfortable and confident as first-time divers. Everything was explained clearly, and their guidance throughout the dive made the experience smooth and enjoyable.

We had a great time diving with Discovery Divers. I did my advance and my wife did her OWD certification. She did intro 4 times before in 3 different countries and this is the first time she came out of the water with a smile which motivated her to do the course. The instructors where very proffesional as well as the owner and staff at the office. Very positive people. Equipment, boat staff and boats where very good. Habe heute mit meiner Tochter diesen Kurs gebucht. Sie hat noch nie getaucht, ich habe etwas Erfahrung. Nach Zahlung der 5000 THB gestern, haben wir uns heute im Dive Shop bei Padi getroffen. Wir zwei sind aus Deutschland, zwei weitere waren aus Australien. Nach einer, für mich viel zu kurzen theoretischen Einweisung, im Grunde genommen keiner, sind wir gleich auf das Schiff. Haben unsere Ausrüstung bekommen und sind gleich bei etwas heftigem Wellengang in das ca. 10 Meter tiefes Meer gesprungen. Die Ausrüstung beim tauchen ist nicht die leichteste, wie man sich denken kann. Das Schiff schwankte sehr und es war schon ohne Ausrüstung das Gewicht zu halten. Mit Ausrüstung dementsprechend viel schwieriger! Hilfe wurde nicht angeboten! Ab ins Wasser und wir sollten uns an der Boot Ankerleine langsam nach unten ziehen. Wie man Masken ausbläst oder tariert wurde uns nicht erklärt. Ich hatte viel zu wenig Gewicht und kam daher nicht runter, bis das jemand von der Crew gemerkt hat, hatte ich schon keine Lust mehr. Meine Tochter hingegen hatte Panik, auch wegen mangelnder Erklärter Theorie und ist sofort wieder aufgetaucht. Die wird in Ihrem Leben niemals mehr tauchen wollen, schade eigentlich! Der Discovery Kurs soll, nachdem wir die Problematik angesprochen haben, Lust auf die Unterwasserwelt machen. Die ist sicherlich auch schön! Aber diese so kennen zu lernen, rate ich dringend von ab. Am zweiten angebotenen Tauchgang, der extra noch einmal gekostet hätte, haben wir dann beide nicht teilgenommen! Sicherlich nicht wegen den Kosten, aber noch mehr Stress und nur mit Panik im Meer rumzuzappeln wollten wir definitiv nicht. Die Tauch Guides waren sehr nett! Allerdings waren wir froh wieder an Land zu sein. Mein persönlicher Tipp. Bucht für ca. den doppelten Preis, vielleicht nicht bei Padi, einen Kurs mit ausreichender theoretischer und praktischer Übung, ein Tag Pool, einen halben Tag niedriges Meerwasser und dann insgesamt zwei Bus drei Tauchgänge auf die beiden letzten anderthalb Tage. Ich habe das gemacht, und das war wirklich wundervoll!
