The PADI Advanced Open Water course in Koh Samui can be completed in 2 days and includes 5 exciting adventure dives.
Two of these dives are mandatory: a Deep Dive and a Underwater Navigation Dive, while the remaining three dives can be selected from the seasonal adventure dive options. This course is designed to be both fun and challenging, helping you significantly improve your scuba diving skills, confidence, and underwater experience.
(Note: You may need to take our beginner’s scuba diving programs, PADI scuba diving course and PADI Open Water course, before advancing to this scuba program).
First, you will select your 3 elective adventure dives in consultation with one of our experienced instructors. For each of the 5 adventure dives included in the PADI Advanced Open Water course in Koh Samui, you will complete the corresponding chapters in the PADI Adventures in Diving E-Learning and submit the online knowledge reviews. All theory can be completed before arriving on the island, giving you more time for actual diving.
All 5 dives are conducted at different dive sites, with 3 dives on the first day and 2 dives on the second.
We will pick you up at your hotel around 7:00 am and take you to the pier. At the pier, your instructor will review the day’s dives and discuss the plan, skills, and preparation needed for each site.
The boat will arrive at your first dive site between 8:50 and 9:20 am, depending on the selected locations. You will complete 2–3 dives during the day, with lunch provided in between, and return to Koh Samui between 1:15 and 3:30 pm depending on the dive destinations.
The second day follows a similar schedule to Day 1, with 2 final adventure dives at different Koh Samui dive sites. After completing your dives, you will return to the dive center to finish your logbooks and paperwork and receive your official PADI Advanced Open Water certification.
For divers looking to extend their skills, we also offer an Advanced Open Water + Nitrox certification. This additional training is ideal for deep dives or liveaboard trips, as Nitrox certification allows for longer bottom times and safer diving experiences.
